Flying Focus is a Dutch commercial photographic company specialized in photographing ships rough seas. From their fixed wing plane they take the most spectacular shots. SRG suggested to take the PS3 with him for some weeks during his flights, as a test for use in small planes. After a successful try-out period, Herman returned the PS3 and asked us to keep him informed about the progress of this new developed product. His recommendation is to include a reliable Personal Locator Beacon, which saved his life once after an accident with his plane some years ago. He explained that at that time he was wearing a life vest with an immersion suit, with limited hypothermia protection in comparison to a single person life-raft. He is convinced that our combination of Vest/Raft/Beacon will be superior and soon will be commonly adapted, resulting in more followers that will endorse Sea Rescue Gear.

Whilst I was looking for a safety raft to take on board during my solo flying round the world tour planned in 2022, I found the PS3 video on Youtube and got very impressed by its performances, its light weight and multiple capabilities.

I got in touch with Johan and Peter, the very friendly staff of SRG International and met them in their offices. I tried the backpack and feel quite confident with it for my South Atlantic flight.

I mentioned this PS3 to other pilots who are all very surprised and interested for any oceanic flights.

The next steps will be to fill up the raft with some essential safety supplements and try the raft next summer in a pool and in the sea!

Sea Rescue Gear started a dialogue with sea going yacht owners from South Africa. They are planning a trip later in 2021 and are investigating different survival systems.

After sharing technical details the yacht owners became very enthusiastic about the design, easy to handle and technical results of the PS3 product.

SRG is incorporating their technical requests in the design of the PS3, wherever possible. One of them is to make the backpack with the raft detachable, for those situations that only a vest would be sufficient. But: when the going get's tough......

Hi Sea Rescue Gear! Thanks for your nice and quick reply. The Kayak tour will be in August this year in 2 self-made Greenland Kayak. Maybe additional sailing features and Catamaran conversion (for rough water) may give stunning pictures.
